Del Monte Fresh – Teacher Monday Contest and #Giveaway

This fall Del Monte Fresh is holding  its second annual online contest, “Teacher Monday: Cash for Classrooms.” The program awards cash and fresh fruit to kindergarten thru 12th grade school teachers across North America to encourage them to incorporate healthy eating and living messages into classroom activities. Sixty teachers will win a total of $1,000 in cash to purchase school supplies and fresh fruit for their students.

To be eligible to win, teachers must register for “Teacher Monday: Cash for Classrooms” online contest and then encourage all their fans to vote for them online. Ten winners will be selected each Monday for six consecutive weeks in October and November 2011. Winners are based solely on the number of votes they receive. Winning teachers will receive $750 in cash to purchase school supplies and $250 in Del Monte fresh fruit coupons for classroom snacks and to use in fruit educational activities.

Even though this contest has already started, teachers can still apply and voting starts fresh each week. So be sure to let your teachers know about this great contest

You can vote for your favorite teacher daily in Del Monte Fresh’s Teacher Monday: Cash for Classrooms online contest. So they can help educate kids about eating healthier.

 Top winners will also get a Del Monte Fresh Field Day event for their school in which the entire student body will enjoy a day of Del Monte fresh fruit, games and fun activities. To help spread the word about this program, Del Monte has offered a giveaway for Bargain Shopper Mom readers. Three lucky winners will each receive (5) $5 vouchers towards fresh Del Monte fruits and vegetables. One winner will also receive a backpack filled with supplies such as pencils, erasers and rulers to share with a teacher.

Everyone must complete the required entry question. All bonus entries are optional. You will receive one (1) additional entry for each completed bonus entry with comment. Bonus entries will be confirmed before a winner is selected and announced.

Just leave an extra comment for each as an entry. i.e “I am a fan on Facebook.” and/or “I get your e-mail updates.” You are eligible if you are a new fan/reader or a longtime fan/reader. Be sure to leave each a separate comment. Remember each comment equals one entry. Only comments on the blog will count as entries not comments on Facebook or Twitter. This contest will be open until Sunday, October 30 at 11:59 p.m EST. Winners will be chosen randomly.
