Ecoist M&M Wristlet Review & Giveaway

Looking for a fun clutch or bag to buy while making the world a little better place….then look no further than ecoist.com.

I received this fun little m&m wristlet from them to check out. I was easily able to fit my iphone, a small credit card/moneycase, keys, and lipstick inside. It is great on its own or would be very handy in a diaper bag or a large purse. The fun bright colors of the handfolded, recycled M&M’s wrappers would make it easy to find in any bag. Both my girls loved this bag and wanted it for themselves. I think a trendy teenager would be all over this bag too and it would be a perfect gift.

Not only are these bags cute and useful, they are also great for the environment. All the bags are made by recycling waste-bound materials. The M&M wrappers in my bag would have been headed to a landfill.

In addition to recycling,  Ecoist also practices fair trade. In 2009, they founded EcoDiseño in Ancon, Peru, employing workers and artisans in an impoverished community. They care for each and every one of the artisans. They are the ones that put their skills and love into making the products. Ecoist pays fair and meaningful wages, not the minimum wages that dominate the industry. Ecoist is a family-owned business, so they see the value inherent in investing in the lives of their workers, their families, and their communities. So far, Ecoist has improved the lives of almost 40 women artisans!

As if that wasn’t enough…Ecoist plants a tree for every handbag sold. In partnership with Trees for the Future, Ecoist has contributed to reforestation efforts around the world. So far, they have planted over 100,000 trees in places like Haiti, India, and Uganda.
