I am always trying to capture moments with my kids and their activities but many times those moments only get shared on Facebook or via email. My daughters’ grandparents don’t all live near by so they sometimes miss out on birthdays, school activities, soccer games and more. I have always wished there was a way I could easily share video or pictures with them right on a big screen.
Comcast has come up with a new solution to just this issue. They have a new app that lets Xfinity customers’ stream live video from their smartphone to the TV to share with friends and family. The app, lets you stream live video as well as send photos and recorded videos to your own TV, or another Xfinity customer’s TV (For example, Grandma!). You can also stream live video and share content to mobile phones. How cool is that?!
You also get cloud service so you can share vacation pictures, school concerts and more on your own TV when relatives and friends come to visit. This is much better than everyone huddling around a little iPad. Think how much better your pictures will look on the big screen. Unfortunately, there are also those times when my husband and I can’t make it to one of our kids events. I love the idea of my husband being able to live stream part of a soccer game to our TV when I can’t make it to a game.
In order to use the new app, both the sender and the receiver must be Xfinity Triple Play customers withOnly with the X1 Entertainment Operating System. It is super easy to use. All you have to do to stream to the TV, is open the new Xfinity app on your iOS or Android device, then select “Stream Live” and accept the notification that appears on the TV. The app is free to download as well. I love technology that helps make my life better AND is simple to use!
I can’t wait for this new feature to become widely available so I can share our fun moments easily with family and friends. Click here for a video that helps explain the new app and product.
