Spookley The Square Pumpkin Movie and Giveaway

Now that it is October, I love to find frugal activities to get in a festive fall mood. Heading to a fun family matinee of Spookley from Kidtoons fits the bill.

One Day in the Pumpkin Patch, the strangest little pumpkin hatched…Spookley the Square Pumpkin was different. In a world where “The only good pumpkins are round pumpkins!”, Spookley is shunned by the other pumpkins until a mighty storm threatens to destroy the entire patch. As the storm rages, Spookley proves that being different can save the day. “It’s fine to be round while the weather is fair, but there are times it’s better to be a square!” Spookley is a wonderful movie for special needs children as well – reminding all that it’s okay to be different.

You can check out the Kidtoons website to find the participating theater nearest you. When I did that, I found that the cost to see the movie at the theater nearest me is just $3 a person! Now you can also enjoy the latest Kidtoons movies for your child’s and/or your birthday, on them! Just sign up for the Kidtoons Birthday Club and they will send you a free Kidtoons movie pass to celebrate your special day. Click here to sign up.

The folks at Kidtoons were generous enough to offer TWO giveaways to my readers this month. Woo Hoo!

  • The first prize pack for Spookley includes:1 Spookley Plush doll, 2 Spookley Flashlights, 5 Spookley coloring sheets, and a Spookley book.
  • The second prize pack includes:1 Spookley DVD, 2 Spookley Flashlights,
5 Spookley coloring sheets, and a Spookley book.

Oh we watched this movie on Disney last Monday and it was SOOOO Cute!!! The one thing we look forward to every Fall is going to Berry Patch Farm to pick out our pumpkin! There is ton of places to take great pictures, pet some livestock, and then take a tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch. And the best part there is so many pumpkins, if you have a husband that is tall with long arms, like I do lol, you can get the best picture of your kid as if he was in an Anne Geddes picture.

Sounds like a cute movie!! We went to that Kidtoons Barbie movie that you posted about a couple weeks ago, but the tickets were full price for us. I was so bummed!!! 🙁 My favorite Halloween activity is going to the pumpkin patch which we are doing tomorrow!

      Hi Ann,

Can you please tell me how much tickets were when you went to see Barbie last month? Also, what theater, city, state?

      We’ll look into it!

      Thank you,

      Colette & Kidtoons

It was Morrisville Park Place, in Morrisville, NC. I don’t remember *exactly* what we paid, but I remember thinking it appeared to be the same as the regular matinee price. It was about $6.50 – $7 per ticket. It was right about $20 for myself and my two daughters.

Our family loves to attend all the fall fundraisers in our community. We go to the K-9 games which benefits local rescue groups, there is a bikers for boobies ride to raise money to end breast cancer, my dog and I walk for the young women’s cancer fund and then there is Howl and Yowl.

Read Spookley to my daughters Kindergarten class 2 years ago…kids LOVED it!

Fall activity we love…raking a path in the backyard in all the leaves..then the kids run thru the paths that i have raked out – sometimes they will run or ride their bikes. They keep asking for me to do it this year, but we don’t have enough leaves, YET!

We have several fall favorites. The biggest is playing in the leave piles. We have a lot of tress so we rake them into piles and hide and jump in them. We also love to carve pumpkins this time of year.
