This low carb healthy tuna recipe is one of my favorite lunches. It is easy to make and healthy too. I adapted this recipe a South Beach diet recipe. It requires just a few ingredients and takes less than 5 minutes to make. It also is super tasty which is important especially when you are trying to eat healthy.
I found a new high quality tuna at my local Walmart which is wild- and responsibly-caught – Ocean Naturals Tuna. Their fishing practices are guaranteed dolphin safe and they strive to harvest tuna from only healthy waters. They do this in a manner that has the least possible impact on the surrounding ecosystem. When it comes to accountability, Ocean Naturals wants to be sure you can have 100% confidence in their products, as you use them for your family. You can even learn more about where your specific tuna came from by visiting the Ocean Naturals website and entering the code on the can.
I used Skipjack tuna (one of several species labeled ‘light’ in the U.S.) in my healthy chopped salad with tuna recipe. It is considered by fisheries scientists to have healthy and abundant populations worldwide. Ocean Naturals skipjack is harvested in the Western and Central Pacific Ocean, where the largest skipjack resources in the world are found.
I love eating food that is high quality, healthy and good for the planet. It is hard to beat that.
If you would like to win some of this tuna for yourself, they give some away each week with the Ocean Naturals Tuna Tuesdays Facebook giveaway.
