Using this simple “30 Things to Throw Out Today” printable is a great way to help you get a clear mindset about things that you can ditch in your house, without having to sit down and give it a ton of thought.

If you’re looking for a decluttering boost that can help you purge a ton of stuff easily in your home, use this printable decluttering PDF to help you declutter with ease.

You’ll be amazed at how quickly you can get rid of 30 things, and you just might move on to wanting to ditch even more! Dare I say that you can become addicted to decluttering very easily?! The cleaner the space in the home, the cleaner the space in your mind!

Things to Throw Out printable checklist

30 Things to Throw Away Today

When you take a step back and look at your home as a whole, figuring out where to even start decluttering can be downright overwhelming. But when you’re able to have a list to follow and break it down, it can become a much less daunting task and compartmentalize it into an easier option.

Simple Tips For Helping To Declutter Your Home

While this printable PDF shows you things that you can easily declutter, there are a few simple tips to keep in mind as well.

  • Choose a room in your home to start with

Once you zone in and pick a room to start with, you’ll be able to put all your time and energy into that room. This means that the thought of decluttering can have a start and endpoint, once you get through with that specific space.

  • Take breaks as needed

For some people, decluttering is really overwhelming. If that’s the case for you, take breaks as you need to. You don’t need to rush through it and make it a painful process. Instead, take your time and allow yourself grace while decluttering. While these are just “things” that you’re getting rid of, that doesn’t mean that you’re not going to have memories attached to some of them that you need to work through.

  • Enlist the help of others

If you have a family, I’m guessing that they helped in causing a bit of the clutter in your home. Have them join in on the fun and make it a family event. They might even have a few other things that they add to the list to get rid of in the home.

  • If you’re overly stressed, move on

Decluttering is meant to be a process that frees that mind and creativity. If you’re feeling overly stressed out by it, it might be time to move on to something else or just try a different room.

How do I know what things to declutter in my home?

Are you looking for a 30 day decluttering challenge that will help you get rid of a ton of “stuff” in your house? This simple free printable will help you get rid of 30 bags in just 30 days of time and declutter your house in thirty days. With this simple way to declutter your home and space, you’ll be amazed at how manageable this makes dumping the junk from your home and brain.

30 day decluttering challenge printable list

30 Day Decluttering Challenge – 30 Bags in 30 Days

Do you really think that you have 30 bags of stuff inside your house? Believe it or not, we all probably do! If you’re looking for that boost to get you decluttering with ease, you can easily use this free printable PDF as a way to get rid of things in your house that you might not even know that you have!

Why spread decluttering out over a month?

There are several reasons why you should take your time when it comes to decluttering. One of the biggest reasons is that you might need to really sit down and focus on what you want to get rid of.

If you’re in a hurry to throw it all out, you might have decluttering remorse later when you’re looking for something that you already got rid of.

The easiest way to allow your body and brain to wrap around the fact that it’s time to declutter is to take your time and go after one project at a time.

What do you do with items that you’re removing from your house?

The best thing that you can do with items that you’re taking from your house is to use those items and donate them to somewhere else. There are plenty of charities in the area that would be happy to have items that are ready and good for others.

Talk to local churches, shelters, or even schools/hospitals about some of the items that you’re looking to rehome. They might have a great plan or need that you can easily help fill!

30 bags in 30 days declutter challenge

Taking the Decluttering Challenge

The great thing about this 30 day decluttering challenge is that you can start whenever you’re ready. Since each day is broken down into a manageable part of the house, there’s no reason that you can’t pick and choose the time that you’re ready to begin.

As you can tell from the decluttering your home printable, every day is listed out and you know exactly what you need to focus on each and every day. This not only gives you direction but it helps you break down decluttering of your house into a much more manageable fashion.

Are you ready to take the 30 day decluttering challenge? Join in on the fun!

Get Your Decluttering Your Home Checklist Here

Make certain that you print out the PDF and hang it somewhere in your house so that you know what you need to do each daily. And once you’re done with that day, move the bag out of your house and put a triumphant check mark on the list! At the end of 30 days, you’re going to notice a huge difference in your home!

15-Minute Declutter Challenge with Declutter Printable

Did you know that if you take just 15 minutes each and every day to declutter your home, you’ll notice a huge difference? The great part about this 15-Minute Declutter Challenge is that everyone has 15 minutes during the day to spare.

When you break down the decluttering to a mere few minutes per day, it makes for a much easier cleaning process that doesn’t feel overwhelming at all. When it comes down to decluttering your home, who says that it has to happen all in one day? This easy decluttering process is a simple way to break down your home into a way that allows you to declutter quickly and easily.

15 Minute Declutter Challenge Printable pages and coffee cup

15-Minute Declutter Challenge

Crazy to think that just 15 minutes daily can help you eliminate clutter in your home. It’s even crazier to think that by doing this daily, you’re going to notice a HUGE difference in the overall appearance of your space.

And the best part about doing this simple declutter challenge is that you can literally get started at any time. You can declutter during the day, the night, early in the morning, or right before you go to bed.

With this declutter printable PDF, you’ll be able to keep track of what you’ve decluttered and use it to stay focused as well. Just pick which decluttering task you want to achieve from the decluttering list and set a timer and get moving.

Why does decluttering really even matter?

Having a clean home is important, but being able to declutter effectively really goes so much further than that. If you’re wondering what the purpose of decluttering is, these are just a few top reasons to consider.

  • Decluttering clears your space

This means that it clears the space in your head and in your home. You don’t want either area to be cluttered, so making room for this is key.

  • It’s a reminder to not hold on to “things”

I get it – we all have things that we love. But when it comes down to it, “things” really don’t matter. Having clutter in your home also means that most of those things are just sitting there, not even being used. Instead of taking up space with things, clear them up for more room.

If you’re ready to get back a little bit of your space and clear up some space in your brain, it’s time to take a few minutes daily to declutter your home.

The great part about decluttering is that you can donate those items and help someone else out who might actually need them or want to use them!

Think of decluttering as a way to give your items in your house new life in a new place!

In Decluttering at the Speed of Life, decluttering expert and author Dana White identifies the mind-sets and emotional challenges that make it difficult to declutter. Then, in her signature humorous approach, she provides workable solutions to break through these struggles and get clutter out–for good! But more than simply offering strategies, Dana dives deep into how to implement them, no matter the reader’s clutter level or emotional resistance to decluttering. She helps identify procrasticlutter–the stuff that will get done eventually so it doesn’t seem urgent–as well as how to make progress when there’s no time to declutter.

I know that sometimes that I don’t focus on the most important things and I sometimes try to take on too much. I have been reading lots of articles on planning and achieving your goals and I took some of those ideas to create a weekly planner printable. You can download it for free too! I would love it if you would join me.

If you already get my email newsletters, this printable is available in the resource library. (your password is in every newsletter)

How to Make A Weekly Plan

The planner has two columns. One for a daily plan and one to keep track of tasks and habits. In the daily side, there is room to put in your dinner plan for each night of the week. I cannot tell you how much stress and money you will save yourself my making a meal plan for the week. I usually go grocery shopping on Saturdays so I added plan meals for the week on my Friday task list. If you plan your meals, you can limit the number of times you need to go to the grocery store and get take out. This can really help you eat healthier too. Take the 15 minutes to plan your meals and save yourself from the What’s For Dinner issue every day. You will be amazed by how this can reduce your stress.

If you need more meal planning help, this how-to meal plan article is helpful.

For each day, there are just 3 numbers. I call these the big three. (Shout out to my favorite  show This is Us for the name) Pick your must-dos and put them here. It is easy for your inner critic to beat you up when you have a list of 20 things and don’t complete them. When I completed, my weekly plan I filled in some items for each day but left some open to add in the night before. My stress level decreased just be seeing how I much I could accomplish in a week by focusing on 3 things a day.

In this column, there is also a spot each day for “The Good”. This is a place for you to jot down one good thing that happened that day. There are tons of studies that show just focusing on the positive can help make you happier with your life. This is an easy way to remind yourself of the good in each day.

On the right-hand side, there are three sections. The first is “get it done quick.” Put tasks that take 10 minutes or less here and when you have just a little time in your day you can quickly get one done. I added things here like send an email or fill out a form or check on something simple. Once these are on paper, they are not taking up space in your brain anymore and you can quickly finish them when you have time.

The next section is “The Rest”. This is your brain dump spot. I added ideas for website posts and items I want to do around my home. If I get all three items done quickly one day, I can tackle one of these items if I want. Also, I check this when filling out my big three for the day. I can add one of these if they are now a priority.

The last spot is for habits. I filled mine in with drinking enough water, 10,000 steps, and German lessons. These are items I want to concentrate on this month. I love being able to cross off the circle for the day when I meet my goal. You can put whatever habits you want in here. Maybe it is exercise or reading. The beauty is you choose what is important to you.

Summer is bearing down on us and it’s time to start getting everything in order for entertaining and of course winding up tax season. Here is the full list of tasks with some links to tools that will help!

In the office…

1. Give your desk drawers a good end of tax season purging- If you don’t have a lot of time just spend 5 minutes on each drawer making quick decisions on what stays, goes, and reorganizing.

2 . Shred paperwork and bills you no longer need- Invest in an inexpensive shredder or you could also rip them up a bit and burn them in your fireplace/firepit.

3. Go through your email – Unsubscribe from at least 5 things to clean up that inbox, try doing this once each week for the month and you will have it cleaned up in no time.

4. Blow out keyboard- Hit the tower, printer, and any other electronics in the room with compressed air to keep your computer in top working shape.

5. Sort through pens and pencils on the desk-Toss out any that are no longer functional, a quick scratch on a piece of scrap paper will tell you if they are working.

6. Finish sorting and filing last-minute tax documents- Papers and receipts can be put in the tickler file, the last several years of returns can be stored away.

7. Swap out winter shoes for lighter ones- Make way for tennis shoes, sandals, and strappy heels in your closet.

8. Grab a garbage bag, set a timer for 10 minutes- Make a quick sweep through the house filling it with items to donate- hit the closet, kitchen cabinets, wherever you need to purge.

9. Change your bed linens for lighter- No only is it nice to use spring weights in warmer weather bright or clean colors add a touch of spring to your room.

10. Wash and store heavy throws in the living room- Add a few light ones in spring shades

11. Spray shower tile well with cleaner/mildew remover- Wait 15 minutes, then rinse well. Repeat if there are tough spots that are not coming clean.

12. Clean out your makeup- Toss old or broken makeup, treat yourself to a new bronzer or another item for your summer makeup bag.

13. Go through your purse- Purge out unnecessary items, swap out for a pretty spring/summer bag.

14. Replenish guest toiletries in bathroom and guest room- Make a nice basket under the sink with travel or full-size shampoo, soaps, razors, etc. In the guest room leave lotions, sprays, and other creature comforts for visitors.

15. Take 10 minutes and go through toiletries- Toss out nearly empty shampoo bottles, out of date creams, etc.

16. Toss ice, lemon peels, and baking soda in garbage disposal- Run it through a cycle, this task is best repeated monthly to sanitize and sharpen blades.

17. Spend 15 minutes playing with your kids-  Help them choose 5 toys to donate to charity or toss out.

18. Go through board games- Toss out those with missing pieces, donate no longer used ones.

19. Descale coffee pot with vinegar- Run several water cycles through to rinse well afterwards.

20. Change out air/heat filters-Replace them with good new hepa air filters. Consider calling in a professional to check and service your system before the hot season.

21. Grab a cleaning cloth – Wipe down all interior doors and doorknobs, don’t forget the trim ledge above!

22. Clean oven- Spray with cleaner, leave overnight and wipe it out in the morning.

23. Do a quick walk through in your garage- clear out empty paint cans, oil bottles, etc.. Be sure to dispose of them properly, items like this can’t just be thrown in the trash. Your local dump usually has areas for such items and they can process them the right way.

24. Fertilize- Add fertilizer and grass seed to your lawn with a spreader or by hand if it’s a small space.

25. Go through outdoor equipment-Bikes, balls, swing sets, etc… and make necessary repairs or toss items out.

26. Clean leaves and other debris from your ac’s evaporator/condenser- Turn power off at the breaker and give it a rinse with the hose as well.

27. Give the kids outdoor toys some attention- Spray with bleach let it sit 10 minutes, hose clean. Items like playhouses, sandboxes, and other large items tend to get dirty and often covered in mold from sitting outdoors. Looking for some more fun outdoor toy for kids check them out here.

28. Start packing up spring/Easter items in storage- The end of the month is a good time to start packing these items back in storage to get ready for summer time.

29. Pull out your stored patio cushions- Give patio furniture a good scrubbing, replace cushions that need it, and reset your outdoor sitting areas.

30. Place 1/2 dozen pretty new plants in the ground- Or in containers to brighten your yard. Annuals from home improvement stores or your local nursery are cheap and add a pop of color to the yard.
