Using this simple “30 Things to Throw Out Today” printable is a great way to help you get a clear mindset about things that you can ditch in your house, without having to sit down and give it a ton of thought.
If you’re looking for a decluttering boost that can help you purge a ton of stuff easily in your home, use this printable decluttering PDF to help you declutter with ease.
You’ll be amazed at how quickly you can get rid of 30 things, and you just might move on to wanting to ditch even more! Dare I say that you can become addicted to decluttering very easily?! The cleaner the space in the home, the cleaner the space in your mind!
30 Things to Throw Away Today
When you take a step back and look at your home as a whole, figuring out where to even start decluttering can be downright overwhelming. But when you’re able to have a list to follow and break it down, it can become a much less daunting task and compartmentalize it into an easier option.
Simple Tips For Helping To Declutter Your Home
While this printable PDF shows you things that you can easily declutter, there are a few simple tips to keep in mind as well.
Choose a room in your home to start with
Once you zone in and pick a room to start with, you’ll be able to put all your time and energy into that room. This means that the thought of decluttering can have a start and endpoint, once you get through with that specific space.
Take breaks as needed
For some people, decluttering is really overwhelming. If that’s the case for you, take breaks as you need to. You don’t need to rush through it and make it a painful process. Instead, take your time and allow yourself grace while decluttering. While these are just “things” that you’re getting rid of, that doesn’t mean that you’re not going to have memories attached to some of them that you need to work through.
Enlist the help of others
If you have a family, I’m guessing that they helped in causing a bit of the clutter in your home. Have them join in on the fun and make it a family event. They might even have a few other things that they add to the list to get rid of in the home.
If you’re overly stressed, move on
Decluttering is meant to be a process that frees that mind and creativity. If you’re feeling overly stressed out by it, it might be time to move on to something else or just try a different room.
How do I know what things to declutter in my home?
Totally valid question! This is what this printable PDF is for! All you need to do is print off the PDF and use it to go room to room. You’ll find it as a super helpful guide that lets you declutter without worry and gives you a great guideline to follow.

Are you looking for a 30 day decluttering challenge that will help you get rid of a ton of “stuff” in your house? This simple free printable will help you get rid of 30 bags in just 30 days of time and declutter your house in thirty days. With this simple way to declutter your home and space, you’ll be amazed at how manageable this makes dumping the junk from your home and brain.
30 Day Decluttering Challenge – 30 Bags in 30 Days
Do you really think that you have 30 bags of stuff inside your house? Believe it or not, we all probably do! If you’re looking for that boost to get you decluttering with ease, you can easily use this free printable PDF as a way to get rid of things in your house that you might not even know that you have!
Why spread decluttering out over a month?
There are several reasons why you should take your time when it comes to decluttering. One of the biggest reasons is that you might need to really sit down and focus on what you want to get rid of.
If you’re in a hurry to throw it all out, you might have decluttering remorse later when you’re looking for something that you already got rid of.
The easiest way to allow your body and brain to wrap around the fact that it’s time to declutter is to take your time and go after one project at a time.
What do you do with items that you’re removing from your house?
The best thing that you can do with items that you’re taking from your house is to use those items and donate them to somewhere else. There are plenty of charities in the area that would be happy to have items that are ready and good for others.
Talk to local churches, shelters, or even schools/hospitals about some of the items that you’re looking to rehome. They might have a great plan or need that you can easily help fill!
Taking the Decluttering Challenge
The great thing about this 30 day decluttering challenge is that you can start whenever you’re ready. Since each day is broken down into a manageable part of the house, there’s no reason that you can’t pick and choose the time that you’re ready to begin.
As you can tell from the decluttering your home printable, every day is listed out and you know exactly what you need to focus on each and every day. This not only gives you direction but it helps you break down decluttering of your house into a much more manageable fashion.
Are you ready to take the 30 day decluttering challenge? Join in on the fun!

Head into the holidays feeling confident that you are well prepared. [Read more…]
Did you know that if you take just 15 minutes each and every day to declutter your home, you’ll notice a huge difference? The great part about this 15-Minute Declutter Challenge is that everyone has 15 minutes during the day to spare.
When you break down the decluttering to a mere few minutes per day, it makes for a much easier cleaning process that doesn’t feel overwhelming at all. When it comes down to decluttering your home, who says that it has to happen all in one day? This easy decluttering process is a simple way to break down your home into a way that allows you to declutter quickly and easily.
15-Minute Declutter Challenge
Crazy to think that just 15 minutes daily can help you eliminate clutter in your home. It’s even crazier to think that by doing this daily, you’re going to notice a HUGE difference in the overall appearance of your space.
And the best part about doing this simple declutter challenge is that you can literally get started at any time. You can declutter during the day, the night, early in the morning, or right before you go to bed.
With this declutter printable PDF, you’ll be able to keep track of what you’ve decluttered and use it to stay focused as well. Just pick which decluttering task you want to achieve from the decluttering list and set a timer and get moving.
Why does decluttering really even matter?
Having a clean home is important, but being able to declutter effectively really goes so much further than that. If you’re wondering what the purpose of decluttering is, these are just a few top reasons to consider.
Decluttering clears your space
This means that it clears the space in your head and in your home. You don’t want either area to be cluttered, so making room for this is key.
It’s a reminder to not hold on to “things”
I get it – we all have things that we love. But when it comes down to it, “things” really don’t matter. Having clutter in your home also means that most of those things are just sitting there, not even being used. Instead of taking up space with things, clear them up for more room.
If you’re ready to get back a little bit of your space and clear up some space in your brain, it’s time to take a few minutes daily to declutter your home.
The great part about decluttering is that you can donate those items and help someone else out who might actually need them or want to use them!
Think of decluttering as a way to give your items in your house new life in a new place!

In Decluttering at the Speed of Life, decluttering expert and author Dana White identifies the mind-sets and emotional challenges that make it difficult to declutter. Then, in her signature humorous approach, she provides workable solutions to break through these struggles and get clutter out–for good! But more than simply offering strategies, Dana dives deep into how to implement them, no matter the reader’s clutter level or emotional resistance to decluttering. She helps identify procrasticlutter–the stuff that will get done eventually so it doesn’t seem urgent–as well as how to make progress when there’s no time to declutter.

Get more accomplished each week with this free weekly plan sheet and a weekly plan.
Did you know that 80% of the time the thing holding women back from achieving their potential was themselves? This statistic really stuck with me. I have been struggling myself with how to get past my inner critic and find ways to visual remind myself to focus on what is important in my life.
In addition, I have been looking for ways to make my busy life more meaningful and help me achieve my goals.
I knew I wanted to try to find a way to accomplish this myself and help you achieve your goals and simplify your life too!
Free Weekly Plan Sheet
I have found that I often get overwhelmed with the huge amount of items I want to achieve both in my personal life and with this website. I know that sometimes that I don’t focus on the most important things and I sometimes try to take on too much. I have been reading lots of articles on planning and achieving your goals and I took some of those ideas to create a weekly planner printable. You can download it for free too! I would love it if you would join me.
If you already get my email newsletters, this printable is available in the resource library. (your password is in every newsletter)
How to Make A Weekly Plan
The planner has two columns. One for a daily plan and one to keep track of tasks and habits. In the daily side, there is room to put in your dinner plan for each night of the week. I cannot tell you how much stress and money you will save yourself my making a meal plan for the week. I usually go grocery shopping on Saturdays so I added plan meals for the week on my Friday task list. If you plan your meals, you can limit the number of times you need to go to the grocery store and get take out. This can really help you eat healthier too. Take the 15 minutes to plan your meals and save yourself from the What’s For Dinner issue every day. You will be amazed by how this can reduce your stress.
If you need more meal planning help, this how-to meal plan article is helpful.
For each day, there are just 3 numbers. I call these the big three. (Shout out to my favorite show This is Us for the name) Pick your must-dos and put them here. It is easy for your inner critic to beat you up when you have a list of 20 things and don’t complete them. When I completed, my weekly plan I filled in some items for each day but left some open to add in the night before. My stress level decreased just be seeing how I much I could accomplish in a week by focusing on 3 things a day.
In this column, there is also a spot each day for “The Good”. This is a place for you to jot down one good thing that happened that day. There are tons of studies that show just focusing on the positive can help make you happier with your life. This is an easy way to remind yourself of the good in each day.
On the right-hand side, there are three sections. The first is “get it done quick.” Put tasks that take 10 minutes or less here and when you have just a little time in your day you can quickly get one done. I added things here like send an email or fill out a form or check on something simple. Once these are on paper, they are not taking up space in your brain anymore and you can quickly finish them when you have time.
The next section is “The Rest”. This is your brain dump spot. I added ideas for website posts and items I want to do around my home. If I get all three items done quickly one day, I can tackle one of these items if I want. Also, I check this when filling out my big three for the day. I can add one of these if they are now a priority.
The last spot is for habits. I filled mine in with drinking enough water, 10,000 steps, and German lessons. These are items I want to concentrate on this month. I love being able to cross off the circle for the day when I meet my goal. You can put whatever habits you want in here. Maybe it is exercise or reading. The beauty is you choose what is important to you.

Using only the materials in your Groovy Lab in a Box, can you design and build a windmill which can fetch a pail of grooviness for those in need?
During your ENGINEERING DESIGN PROCESS, you will design and build several different types of groovy windmills. Explore and investigate forces and motion, potential and kinetic energy associated with windmills, various parts of a windmill, how different blade designs affect performance, how energy is transferred from wind into usable mechanical energy and much, much more.

Get your own Deep Cleaning House Checklist to help you organize your spring cleaning.
With the weather warming up and having to stay home with the coronavirus, you may be considering tackling some spring cleaning. There is something about warmer weather, sunshiney days, and things growing beautifully outside that gets the cleaning bug really going. Here are a few things you may want to tackle when you get ready to spring clean your home. Additionally, we made a deep cleaning house checklist for you that you can print and mark off after you finish the tasks. There also is a deep cleaning calendar if you want to assign certain tasks to certain days.
Here are a few more details for the spring cleaning list
If your couch cushions have removable covers, take them off and throw them in the wash. Otherwise, use an upholstery cleaner to clean them well. Then remove the cushions and vacuum all of the crooks and crannies. This Portable Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner looks like a great tool for this type of job.
Strip your beds and vacuum and flip the mattresses. Now would be a good time as well to wash the dust ruffle and other decorative linens. While the bed is stripped, check underneath (if you dare) and see if there are dust bunnies that need to be evacuated. This is also a good time to replace your bed pillows. The rule of thumb is to replace your pillow every 1 to 2 years. Certain types of pillows last longer than others, due to the quality and construction of their materials.
You most likely polish your wooden furniture with cleaner or a duster frequently, but now is a good time to remove everything from your shelves and furniture and thoroughly clean. Take a furniture pen and buff out all of the scuffed and marred areas.
Kitchens are a great place to focus your spring cleaning efforts. Start with your pantry and food cupboards. Go through and check expiration dates and throw out foods that are no longer good. Donate foods to a food pantry that you don’t think you’ll ever use.
Tackle your utensil drawer – you know the one. The one that has a specialty tool for every kitchen job. If you’ve only used that hot dog slicer or avocado caddy once since you bought it, get rid of it. Organize all of your cooking and serving utensils. Get rid of orphaned food container lids.
Thoroughly clean all of your appliances, both small and large. From your freezer to your toaster, make sure to get everything really good and cleaned. Clean your oven and oven door to get your statement appliances looking great.
Now is the time to put away the winter clothing and pull out all of the summer items. Go through your children’s clothing before packing them up and donate or hand down items that no longer fit. Get rid of the items that are worn or threadbare. With the adult items, get rid of clothing that hasn’t been worn in a long time.
A good tactic for the adult clothing is to turn all of your clothing with your hangers hooked the opposite direction than they are supposed to. When you wear that item, place it back in the closet with the hanger in the correct direction. At the end of the season, any hangers that are still facing backward, that item gets donated. You may want to consider a capsule wardrobe to lessen the number of pieces of clothing you purchase.
This is a good time of year to tackle any mending that needs to be done. Turn on your latest Netflix binge, or some great music, and sit and relax while mending hems and replacing buttons. Another clothing item that you may need to tackle is the dreaded sock basket. The same theory can apply – make it enjoyable with a movie or music.
Decorative linens are another thing that you may not think to clean on a regular basis. A great way to clean curtains is just to take them down and toss them in the dryer with a dryer sheet for about ten minutes. It will get all of the dust off, the wrinkles out, and give them a fresh look and smell.
Make sure to wash all of your decorative throw pillows and blankets as well. This is a good time to get rid of any of those pillows and blankets that have become badly stained or worn throughout the year.
Electronics could also use a spring cleaning. Get a pack of canned air and use it to blow out all of the vents of your gaming consoles, television, and computer tower. Use the same product to clean your laptop keys as well. Use electronic cleaning wipes to give all of your devices a good wipe down.
These are just a list of some items that you may not have considered tackling during Spring Cleaning. Be sure to sign up below to get your printable spring cleaning checklist.

Wondering How to Declutter Your Home Office and Maximize Productivity? Check out these easy tips.
How to Declutter your Home Office
For many of us, working from home is our reality. In recent years many companies have adopted more flexible work arrangements to accommodate the busy and ever-changing lives that we live. Or for some of us, we have the privilege of running our own business, blog, or influencer lifestyle that by nature, didn’t come with a 9 to 5 schedule and an office cubicle. In our cases, having a practical, efficient, and organized home office is an absolute must. Not only will it feel better to work in a clean area but it will also help to increase our productivity so we can do our jobs better than ever before. Read below for some tips on how to do just that.
Stick to a Decluttering Schedule
Organization is necessary for any workspace no matter what field you work in. To make sure your office space is consistently tidy, you may find it helpful to start an organization and cleaning schedule. Set up a time that you will sit down and go through your office’s documents and supplies to make sure everything is in the right place. Depending on your habits, you may need to do this on a monthly or even weekly basis. Mark your calendar like any other appointment so you won’t be taking away time from important work that you have to do or consuming your precious free time. It will also give you a chance to mentally prepare and schedule other engagements around it. You will be much more productive in your work when you have everything planned out from your big work projects, all the way down to your weekly cleaning schedule. This free weekly plan worksheet can help you plan your week.
Utilize Practical Storage
An all-time favorite in any home office is storage! It wouldn’t be practical to have all your paper, tools, and supplies just stacked in pile on your desk so that’s where storage saves the day! Try a range of different storage containers, baskets, and bins so that you can customize them to your space. Large storage baskets are great to use under or beside your desk. They can be used within shelving units or by themselves on the floor. They are also a great place to store some of the bigger office supplies or serve as a “catch-all” basket for miscellaneous items. For your smaller supplies like pens, paper, and notebooks, try finding smaller desktop organizers that are both effective and go with your office’s aesthetic. Even try a less popular storage solution like carts. Depending on your office needs, carts are great for a workspace that requires a lot of hands-on projects. As you move around your work area, you can bring your cart filled with your supplies, too. Find what works best for your space as there’s no one storage option that is better than another. It all depends on your needs. I have a few carts, similar to this one, in my office and they are great for organization.
Take Advantage of All the Space You Have
Although we all dream of a large, established home office, many of us only have a limited amount of space to work within our homes. So, you may be wondering how you’re going to fit all these different storage solutions in your space. In these cases, storage may not be your best option as it can take up more space than needed. So, you’ll have to get creative with the little bit of space you do have to help declutter and make your office more functional. A great way to do this is by thinking about your space vertically, not horizontally. In other words, use all that free wall space instead of your precious floor space. Try installing shelving above and around your desk space. This is a great way to declutter your desktop and place items higher up to avoid taking up your work area. The shelves also come in handy for all you decor lovers out there. You may love filling your desk and office with small plants and decor accents but they may also be taking up unnecessary space. Instead, store your decor higher up on the shelves so that there’s room for the necessities on top of your desk. This is just one way to take advantage of the vertical space in your office but it can ultimately help you to clear some of the clutter as well.
Separate Your Office From the Rest of Your Home
When working at home, sometimes lines can get blurred between what’s your office space and what’s your living space. When you have a home office so close in appearance and nature to the rest of your house, you and other family members are more likely to clutter it with the mess from other rooms. Before you know it, you may be finding the kids’ toys in your office chair or tucked away in your file drawers. Not only does this blurred line cause difficulty in maintaining a clean workspace, but it also can cause issues for your productivity as well. With no clear separation between your office space and living space, kids especially, are more prone to come into your office area with distractions making it harder to successfully get work done.
Ideally, your office space should be separate from the rest of the house in its own room. But, if this isn’t the case for you, try using a bookshelf or room divider to show a clear separation between your office and the rest of the home. Although it seems like it wouldn’t stop the kids from coming in or creating clutter, you’d be surprised at how even your young kids will subconsciously develop an understanding of what is and what isn’t your workspace.
One of the largest forms of clutter in many of our home offices is the abundance of paper. We all deal with it and it can become extremely overwhelming to sift through and declutter. But, as we get farther and farther into the digital age, it’s becoming much more popular for individuals to go paperless when it comes to their work documents. In many on-site offices these days, you will rarely see the use of a pencil and paper because nearly everything is done digitally. So, given that established companies find success in this, why not try adopting this system in your home office as well! Try using an application like Google Drive where you can create word documents, spreadsheets, and presentations all in one place. Not only does this eliminate the clutter of paper that would have existed if it wasn’t for this system, but it will also help you to stay organized even more. You can simply look up the title of the document you are looking for instead of having to sift through piles and piles of papers to find it. Going paperless can also help with official documents that you need to keep track of. Keeping these documents in the digital world lessens the chance of it getting lost and eliminates the opportunity for it to be thrown away accidentally. You will have a record of essentially everything that your computer or device can hold. Ultimately, the organization and decrease in clutter that comes with going paperless can help you to stay productive and on top of your work instead of wasting your time sorting papers.
Decluttering your home office can be difficult but as you know, it can have a direct impact on how productive you are in your office. But, don’t worry! There are plenty of methods like these that you can try to finally get the clean and organized home office that you’ve always wanted. Try some of these tips and continue to strive for your dream home office in 2020. Comment below which tips were your favorite and how you tried them in your own home.
