My husband asks me for a Christmas wishlist every year and there are always a few craft-related items on it. Usually, these are things that I have been wanting, but don’t want to splurge on! If you looking for gifts for women friends, crafty gifts for family or things to add to your own list, I found some fun gadgets to check out. I love to dabble in papercrafting, cardmaking, sewing, jewelry making and pretty much everything DIY and so there is a little of everything here.
1. Silhouette Cameo Die-Cutting Machine
The Silhouette Cameo is an electronic cutting tool that uses a small blade to cut paper, cardstock, vinyl, vellum, and fabric. It can cut up to 12 inches wide and up to 10 feet long. I got one for my birthday and this little machine is so versatile! It can cut 3D items like party favor boxes, gift bags, cards, and so much more! The best feature of this machine is it’s ability to die-cut printed items like tags or scrapbook die-cuts. You can buy cutting files for just $.99 or less from the Silhouette online store or you can create your own files by using their software that comes with your machine. It also has the ability to cut from SVG files. There are lots of independent online stores that sell fun SVG files. I love being able to buy just the images I want or need for my project. Click for more information and to buy the Silhouette Cameo.
Do you need a smaller Silhouette machine? Silhouette America is releasing the new Silhouette Portrait machine in late November. It has all of the cutting power of the Cameo, but it has a lower price point and it still cuts up to 8 inches wide and 10 feet long.

7. Xyron Sticker and Adhesive Machine
Xyron sticker and adhesive machines come in all sizes to fit your project. You feed your cardstock cutout into the Xyron and it makes it a sticker. I found that the 5-inch machine is most versatile and it doesn’t waste too much if you feed smaller items through your machine. I use it for my scrapbooking and cards, but it can be used for other projects too. Another fun way to use this machine is with Martha Stewart glitter. You can send your item through the machine so the front is all sticky and then sprinkle on glitter! It gives your item a nice even coating of glitter.
