There is a reason that Cover Your Assets is so highly-reviewed and this small game will be a big hit with your tween. This game is fast-paced, competitive, and a more than a little addictive. Will it teach you to be wise with your financial decisions in life, or how to be a savvy investor? Absolutely not. Will it cause bouts of laughter, good-humored competition, and fun-filled gatherings? We certainly hope so.

It’s quite difficult to explain why it’s such a riot to play, but let me try. It’s like a combination of a white elephant gift exchange, an estate sale, and Robin Hood (because you steal from the rich and give it to yourself… wait, that’s not like Robin Hood at all… oh well, hopefully you get the point). Your fortune can be made, or lost, in just a few turns. You’re never out of the game until the last card is played.

The cups are made from a durable rubber that is scratch resistant and can handle drops from height and durable fiberglass sticks. These hand sticks are strong but fairly lightweight. These fibreglass has a bit of flex which can help you accelerate the diabolo more quickly. This set comes with a drawstring bag to store your diabolo set.

Epic Zero is the story of a young man born into a family of powerful superheroes, but with no powers of his own. His situation is unqiue, but the feelings of not-quite-belonging and the struggle to find a sense of purpose and identity are things we all wrestled with at that age. 45. Skyjo Game

Don’t let the ugly box fool you! This game is highly-reviewed, fast-paced and great for tweens! In card game SKYJO the goal is to collect as few points as possible over the course of several turns as after every round every player’s points are counted and added to his score. As soon as a player reaches 100 points or more the player with the fewest points wins. Collecting the fewest points means to look for low or even negative numbers. Further excitement is added by several special rules, which for example make it possible to remove several cards (and with it points) from the game – this can lead to unexpected turns. This motivates daring decisions that might even come back to bite, if the other players can counter faster than expected.

54. Exploding Kittens: A Card Game About Kittens and Explosions and Sometimes Goats

This highly-reviewed Exploding Kittens Game has been a hit for kids ages 7 and up. It has a simple concept, but the kids really get a kick out of the fun cards. In this highly-strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette, players draw cards until someone draws an Exploding Kitten, at which point they explode, they are dead, and they are out of the game — unless that player has a Defuse card, which can defuse the Kitten using things like laser pointers, belly rubs, and catnip sandwiches. All of the other cards in the deck are used to move, mitigate, or avoid the Exploding Kittens. Be sure to order the family-friendly version for your tween.

My girls loved these! I got them most of the items on your list and they were thrilled and so were their friends.

I’m not sure why the title is “boys” because really, this list is pretty genderless as far as kids’ tastes go these days. Gone are the days of girls in pink playing with dollies and boys playing army…and thank goodness for that!
