How to To Wear A Summer Dress in Fall
This adorable dress can easily be transitioned to fall when you add a scarf and booties. This dress has great details on the back. I linked to each piece directly but also linked to similar pieces. If one piece sells out, you can easily create a similar look yourself. With new arrivals each week, you may even find something you like better than the piece I featured.

Outfit #1 – Fall:
- Floral Dress – more floral dresses
- Heel Booties – more booties
- Scarf – more scarves
- Leather Tote – more totes
This mixed print top and distressed cropped jeans are on trend this summer and fall. A simple cropped cardigan is a great basic and can transition many tops. I love that this one has a ruched sleeve and shawl collar. It is made of a lightweight knit perfect for fall and even cool summer evenings!
Outfit #2 – Summer:
- Cropped Jeans – more cropped jeans
- Mix Top – more mixed print tops
- Lace Up Flats – more flats
- Fold Over Crossbody – more crossbody bags
Outfit #2 – Fall:
- Cropped Jeans – more cropped jeans
- Mix Top – more mixed print tops
- Leather Comfort Boots – more boots
- Ruby Rd Cardigan – more cardigans
I think this outfit might just be my favorite. I love that the long cardigan and short leather boots totally transform this top and skirt. The summer outfit is quite trendy with lace, caged sandals and animal print while the fall outfit is trendy in a bit more boho way. This really goes to show how accessories can really make an outfit.
Outfit #3 – Summer:
- Meade Skirt – more skirts
- Crochet Sleeveless Top – more sleeveless tops
- Cage Sandals – more sandals
- Satchel – more satchels
Outfit #3 – Fall:
- Meade Skirt – more skirts
- Crochet Sleeveless Top – more sleeveless tops
- Short Leather Boots – more short boots
- Long Cardigan with Tie – more long cardigans
- Crossbody Bag – more crossbody bags
Outfits like this last one are good for summer as well as transition into fall. Depending on where you live, temperatures can vary greatly throughout the day so a cardigan is useful year-round. The fall outfit though also has super cute booties and a fringe bag which helps with the fall vibe. Just a few simple tweaks can totally change the feel of an outfit.
Outfit #4 – Summer:
- Classic Fit Pants – more pants
- Printed Tank – more printed tanks
- Round Toe Flats – more flats
- Cross Body Bag – more crossbody bags
Outfit #4 – Fall:
- Classic Fit Pants – more pants
- Printed Tank – more printed tanks
- Leather Heel Booties – more booties
- Cocoon Cardigan – more cardigans

I always check often to see our walmart and Target outfit selections. This is One of your better articles. Most people cannot spend $500 per season to get all new clothes [and who can wear all those clothes anyway?]. So reusing outfits is great. You could probably mix and max from the list you have here and maybe just have to buy one piece to complete it.
I usually look at what your post, then look in my closet to see if I have something that is close to what you are showing. Then I say-“this will work as the blouse, what do I have that will work as pants?”. Then if needed I buy shoes or purse and that is all. Same shoes/purse for all outfits. Your articles helps me put it together. This one is very nice.
