*****Our Giveaway is over. Congrats to Nancy P! Save on the Silhouette Stamping Starter Kit and Machine Bundles through September 13th! *****

The Silhouette Stamping Starter Kit is one of Silhouette’s newest products. I was excited to be able to try this fun kit. I thought it would be very cool to create a monogrammed stamp since normally, a monogrammed stamp would be something that you would have to special order. Plus, custom-made stamps can be pricey. If you have a Silhouette machine, you could make yourself personalized stationary, notecards and more with the Silhouette Stamping Starter Kit. In my project, I used free fonts for both the shape and the letters and they cut out nicely. You do have to “punch them out” after they cut, but I was pleased how they came out. I chose to cut a very thin font and so I had to arrange the letters on my acrylic block with care. I recommend pigment or chalk ink to use with these stamps. They give the crispest image. To “season” your stamp, do several test stamps on some scratch paper before stamping on your final project. After those test stamps, my images were stamping nicely. I cut the outline of my shape in blue card stock, slightly larger than my image and stamped on it. I then cut another outline of the shape in cream card stock,  even larger, to frame the stamped blue card stock.

From now until September 13th, Silhouette America is having a nice sale on the Silhouette Stamping Starter Kit. It’s currently 20% off and just $23.99. There are also nice Silhouette Cameo and Portrait machines bundled with the Stamping Starter Kit. The Silhouette Cameo machine and Stamping Starter Kit bundle is being offered for $269.99 (a $329.98 value) and the Silhouette Portrait Machine and Stamping Starter Kit bundle is being offered for $129.99 (a $209.98 value).
