What Is Amazon Wardrobe

There are now two different programs included within Amazon Wardrobe

  • Prime Try Before You Buy
  • Personal Shopper by Prime Before You Buy

How Does Amazon Wardrobe Work?

In the Prime Try Before You Buy program, the first step is to select which items you would like to try out. Eligible items have a Prime Try Before You Buy Label. Here are links to all the eligible items. Once you are at the items page you can drill down to exactly the items you are interested in by using the left side filtering system. You can choose up to 6 items in your box.

  • Women Prime Try Before You Buy
  • Men Prime Try Before You Buy
  • Girls Prime Try Before You Buy
  • Boys Prime Try Before You Buy
  • Baby Prime Try Before You Buy

Once your box arrives, you have seven days to try on the items and send back what you don’t want to buy. There is no minimum dollar amount but only six items can be tried at once.

Before the end of your seven-day try-on period, you just check out on your orders page and let them know which items you’re going to keep, and which you’re returning. You are only charged for the items that you decide to keep. Returns are easy and free. You just pack them up in the resealable box and use the prepaid label. You have until the end of the try-on period to postmark returns.

You will not be charged until you complete your purchase on Amazon during the 7-day try-on period. If you do not complete checkout online at Your Orders, they will automatically charge you for all of the items in your order at the end of your 7-day try-on period. Don’t worry though, they will send you reminders along the way!

How Does Amazon Personal Shopper Work?

If you need a little more help picking out items. Amazon now offers Personal Shopper by Prime Before You Buy. This is a service similar to Stitch Fix or Trunk Club.

Before submitting your first styling request, you will create a profile and take their style survey, which will capture your style, brand, fit, and budget preferences. When you make a request, you can tell your personal shopper what styles you are shopping for and share additional details, such as specific items you would like to receive. The more information you share, the better they can style you. You can update your profile preferences at any time by clicking your profile name in the top right corner.

How do You Ship Your Picks?

In order for a box to ship, you must select between one to eight items. If you do not want to ship at least one item, you can provide feedback on your picks which will be sent to the Amazon stylists. You will have seven days to try on the items at home and you will only be charged for the items you decide to keep. Your shipment comes in a resealable package with an adhesive prepaid return label to make returns easy.

How long is the try-on period?

You will have seven calendar days to try on your items at home, starting on the day your order is delivered. Before the end of the seven-day try-on period, please go to Your Orders to check out and indicate which items you are keeping and returning. You have until the end of the try-on period to postmark returns: Use the provided return label and drop off your returns at UPS.

Is there a Cost or Fee for Amazon Wardrobe

There is no fee for the standard Try Before you Buy Program IF you are a Prime member but there is a fee of $4.99 for the Personal Shopper Program. However, right now there is a Personal Shopper Spend $50 Save $10 Promotion where you save $10 when you purchase using the Personal Shopper service, with a Total Sale Price of at least $50 (USD) which can help offset the styling fee.

This is a limited-time offer and Amazon reserves the right to modify or cancel the offer at any time. This offer is good while supplies last and expires at 11:59 p.m. (PDT) on December 30, 2021

What is Available in Prime Wardrobe

There are thousands and thousands of items available with Prime Wardrobe. There is clothing for women, men, boys, girls, and even babies! There are also extremely affordable brands to designer brands included. The filters on the side are your friend since there are so many items included. Be sure to filter by price, style, color etc. This will help you find just what you desire!

Can You Order Multiple Sizes with Prime Wardrobe?

Yes! This is one of my favorite perks with Amazon Try Before You Buy. I often am not sure which size will fit me best so I will order two sizes of the same item and can try both on at home and just ship back the size that doesn’t work.

Prime Wardrobe for Special Occasions

If you need an outfit for a special occasion, you can head out to the mall and go to many stores and try to find the perfect outfit which takes lots of time and effort, or you can take advantage of Prime Try Before You Buy. There are thousands of dress choices within the program. Don’t forget you can easily filter these by style, brand color, and price to narrow down your choices. If you need a little more help just use the Personal Shopper and let them know what type of special occasion it is and your style preference.

Amazon Prime Free Trial

If you are not an Amazon Prime member you can not take advantage of the Prime Wardrobe programs. However, there is a free Prime 30 day trial that you could take advantage of and then you would be eligible for Prime Try Before You Buy. Free trials are a great way to test out the service and see if it is right for you.

The Amazon Try Before you Buy is a great program for busy people who want to find cute styles but don’t want to spend hours shopping in person. Plus if you are a Prime member it is free!
