Star Wars Valentines with Glow Stick

Instead of heading to the store and buying a box of Valentine cards, you can make your own at home with our free Star Wars Printable Cards, glow sticks, and some duct tape.

DIY Star Wars Valentines

The printable valentine that features Rey says “The Force is Strong with You.” We love Rey at our house.

The Valentine that features BB8 says “Rolling By to Wish You a Happy Valentine’s Day”.

The Valentine that features Finn says “You are a Rebel” and the valentine that features Chewbacca says “I Chews You!”

With the popularity of Star Wars, these free printable Valentines will be a favorite. If you want to make them even fancier you can add two slits on the corner of the card and add a glow stick with duct tape which can serve as a lightsaber.

You will want to download the Valentine file below.

How to Make Star Wars Valentine Cards

Next, you will want to print the Valentine’s on cardstock. We used an ivory cardstock because I had it on hand but I think they would be a bit nicer on white cardstock. BB8 looks a bit grungy on our Valentine cards.

The cards will print with four valentine cards per page and you will need to cut them apart. We used our paper cutter but scissors work too!

After that, you cut two small slits on the corner of the card to slide in the glowstick lightsaber. My ten-year-old cut these herself with a  craft knife.  It is that easy! This is an optional step the cards look cute even without the glowstick lightsaber.

How to make lightsabers out of glow sticks and duct tape

To make the lightsabers you just need glow sticks and regular silver duct tape.   We cut a short piece of duct tape and then rolled it around the end of the glow stick.

The final step is to insert the glow stick lightsaber and you have super cute DIY Star Wars Valentines Cards.

Thanks so much! They were so fun to make and we love that they include Rey since she seems hard to find.

These are super cute, but the lettering is off when I printed them. The black did not line up with the white outlining, it was a different font and not all caps. Am trying to color the letters in with a marker as best I can since my 7 year old has her heart set on them. Thanks for the idea.

Just wanted to make sure you downloaded and printed the pdf – https://everydaysavvy.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/FAVal1.pdf My daughter made her whole class valentine’s with this and it printed fine. Not sure what the problem could be.

Thank you for your amazing help! They worked out perfect, better than buying them and having to deal with the holiday rush.
