I am a huge fan of puppy chow recipes or Muddy Buddies as some people call them. This Cake Batter Puppy Chow Recipe is perfect for a party. You can serve it in a large bowl, small individual size party bowls (perfect for kids) or you could even bag it up and hand it out as favors for a birthday party. Not only is this recipe super yummy it is also is so festive and fun. This puppy chow recipe is also very easy to make. You need just a few ingredients that you will microwave, mix in a bowl and then shake in a Ziploc bag.

Cake Batter Puppy Chow Ingredients
5 Cups rice Chex cereal
1 1/2 Cups white chocolate chips
2 Tablespoons butter
3/4 Cup yellow or white cake mix
1/4 Cup powdered sugar
1 Teaspoon almond extract
1/2 Cup colorful sprinkles
Cake Batter Puppy Chow Directions
1. In a small microwave-safe bowl, heat your chocolate chips and butter on 50% power for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted (do not over heat, as white chocolate burns quickly)
2. Add in your almond extract and mix
3. Add your Chex cereal to a large bowl
4. Pour your white chocolate over your Chex cereal and mix carefully with a spatula
5. Mix in about 3/4 of your sprinkles with your melted white chocolate and mix again
6. Place your powdered sugar and cake mix into a large ziplock bag
7. Scoop your chocolate coated cereal into your bag and shake
8. Serve in a colorful dish and top off with the rest of your sprinkles
