Nutcracker Craft
We’re huge fans of the Nutcracker in our house so the kids always loved creating this Nutcracker puppet. And when it comes down to it, it’s no secret why. The kids can easily start and finish this simple Christmas craft with minimal assistance on your part.
If you have a younger child doing this craft, they just need a little bit of supervision and they’ll be good to go. It literally just takes a few moments of time to put this together. And once they’re done, they can put on their own version of the Nutcracker for you as well!
Supplies needed to make this Nutcracker Popsicle Stick Craft
All you need are a few simple supplies to get started. Gather them up for the kids and let them start creating!
- Colored cardstock papers
- Popsicle sticks
- Pencil
- Pen
- Scissors
- Craft glue
- NutCracker Puppet Template

How to make a DIY Nutcracker Puppet
Step -1:
Select colored cardstock papers for this craft. Prepare the template patterns by printing and cutting them out nicely. Trace the patterns on the selected cardstock papers. Use scissors to cut out the traced patterns from the cardstock paper.

Step -2:
Attach the zigzag bordered strip along the top side of the hat cutout. Attach the smaller parts of the uniform on the big part of the uniform. Attach the hair cutout on the backside of the base cutout, by leaving a cm from the top end of the base. Last but not least, attach the boots along the bottom end of the uniform.

Step – 3:
Attach the hat on the top side of the base cutout; aligning the short end of the hat with the base. Attach the uniform on the bottom side of the base cutout.

Step – 4:
Use a black gel pen or marker to draw the eyes, mustache, nose, and other features of the face.

Step – 5:
Finally, attach the cardstock nutcracker on a popsicle stick to complete the nutcracker puppet craft.
